Job Description – Retail Pharmacist
Job Title: Retail Pharmacist
We are looking for a qualified and responsible Retail Pharmacist to manage daily pharmacy operations, dispense medications, assist customers with their pharmaceutical needs, and ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and OTC medicines accurately as per prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions and ensure the correct dosage, strength, and medication.
- Provide appropriate guidance to customers regarding medication usage, dosage, and precautions.
- Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and expiry date monitoring.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and legal requirements.
- Handle billing, cash transactions, and pharmacy software operations.
- Maintain daily sales records and inventory documentation.
- Monitor and manage expired, damaged, and near-expiry medicines.
- Ensure excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate with doctors, suppliers, and other healthcare professionals when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and prescription handling.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy billing software.
- Honest, punctual, and responsible with a professional attitude.
