Deputy Manager - Blade Production
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly blade production targets.
- Monitor production schedules and optimize resource utilization to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Process Engineering teams for uninterrupted production.
- Drive adherence to takt time, cycle time, and productivity targets.
- Manage complete blade manufacturing activities including mold preparation, layup, resin infusion, curing, demolding, assembly, finishing, and dispatch readiness.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, process parameters, and engineering specifications.
- Drive process stability and reduction of manufacturing defects.
- Ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) and Right First Time (RFT) targets are achieved.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production quality issues.
- Coordinate with Quality team to minimize rework and rejection losses.
- Ensure 100% compliance with EHS standards, PTW requirements, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Drive Zero Harm culture across production teams.
- Lead and supervise shift engineers, supervisors, and operators.
- Ensure manpower deployment as per production requirements.
- Drive capability development through training, skill matrix improvement, and succession planning.
- Foster employee engagement and performance excellence.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, yield enhancement, and cost optimization.
- Support digital manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
- Monitor material consumption and wastage.
- Optimize labour productivity and equipment utilization.
- Support achievement of annual manufacturing cost reduction targets.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Composite Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
