We are currently seeking a Systems Integration Specialist Advisor to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

 

The role requires strong expertise in API testing, automation framework architecture, microservices validation, integration testing, service virtualization, performance, security, and AI-enabled Quality Engineering.

This is a senior customer-facing technical role responsible for assessing API landscapes, defining testing solutions, building reusable automation approaches, and guiding QA teams through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end API testing architecture and solutioning strategy across enterprise applications.
• Understand business and technical architecture and translate it into a comprehensive API Quality Engineering strategy.
• Define API testing approaches covering functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, negative, security, performance, and resiliency testing.
• Design scalable and reusable API automation frameworks for REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and microservices.
• Define automation solutions using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured, Karate, Postman/Newman, Python/PyTest, Java, ReadyAPI/SoapUI, or equivalent.
• Architect testing solutions for complex microservices and distributed API ecosystems.
• Define API validation strategies across UI → API → Microservices → Database → Downstream systems.
• Establish contract testing strategies using tools such as Pact and consumer/provider contract validation.
• Define testing approaches for synchronous and asynchronous APIs, including Kafka/event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
• Design service virtualization/mocking solutions where dependent APIs or downstream systems are unavailable.
• Define API test data management and synthetic data generation approaches.
• Establish API automation integration with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and quality gates.
• Define API performance and scalability testing approaches using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, K6, or equivalent.
• Establish API security validation covering authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, data protection, and common API vulnerabilities.
• Define automation coverage, quality metrics, defect prevention strategies, and release-readiness criteria.
• Review existing QA frameworks and recommend modernization and automation improvements.
• Identify opportunities to use AI/GenAI in API testing, including test scenario generation, test data generation, automation script generation, defect analysis, and test optimization.
• Conduct PoCs and evaluate new QE tools, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted testing solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, solution walkthroughs, architecture reviews, and presentations with customers.
• Mentor QA Leads, SDETs, Automation Engineers, and API Testing teams.

API Solutioning Responsibilities

The candidate should be capable of independently assessing a customer API landscape and developing a complete testing solution:

Requirement Analysis → API Landscape Assessment → Risk Identification → Test Strategy → Automation Architecture → Tool Selection → PoC → Implementation → CI/CD Integration → Metrics & Continuous Improvement

The candidate should be able to answer questions such as:

• How should APIs across hundreds of microservices be tested efficiently?
• What should be automated at the API layer versus UI/E2E layer?
• How can API regression execution time be reduced?
• How should dependencies on unavailable downstream services be handled?
• How can contract testing prevent integration defects?
• How should asynchronous APIs and Kafka events be validated?
• How can API automation be integrated into CI/CD quality gates?
• How can AI improve API test design, automation, execution, and defect analysis?

Architecture & Leadership Expectations

• Strong experience designing enterprise API automation frameworks from scratch.
• Ability to assess an existing testing ecosystem and propose a target-state QE architecture.
• Strong understanding of automation framework design, reusable components, maintainability, and scalability.
• Ability to conduct technical PoCs and tool/framework evaluations.
• Ability to estimate automation effort, resource requirements, timelines, and implementation roadmap.
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain technical solutions to both engineering teams and senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading multiple QA/Automation teams and providing technical governance.

 

Experience

• 8+ years of overall Quality Engineering/Testing experience.
• 5+ years of strong API testing and automation experience.
• Demonstrated experience in API Test Architecture / Automation Architecture / QE Solutioning.
• Experience leading enterprise-level API testing and automation initiatives.
• Experience working directly with customers on QA transformation, solutioning, architecture, and implementation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The candidate should be able to demonstrate at least 2–3 large API testing solutions personally architected and implemented, explaining:

Customer Problem → Current-State Assessment → Test Strategy → Automation Architecture → Tool Selection → PoC → CI/CD Integration → Implementation → Coverage Improvement → Business Outcome

The role requires a hands-on API Test Architect and Solutioning expert, not primarily a QA Project/People Manager. The individual should be capable of designing the solution, defending architecture decisions in front of customers, conducting PoCs when required, and guiding engineering teams through implementation.
