About the Role 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and strong proficiency in SolidWorks. The ideal candidate may be a fresher or have up to 2 years of relevant experience, with the ability to create 3D models, prepare engineering drawings, and support mechanical design and development activities. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Create 3D mechanical models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks. 
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications. 
• Develop and modify mechanical components and assemblies as per design requirements. 
• Apply creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and mechanism knowledge to develop effective mechanical design solutions. 
• Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications. 
• Assist in design modifications, product development, and drawing revisions. 
• Visit vendor locations, whenever required, for on-site product validation, design verification, and technical coordination. 
• Coordinate with production, vendors, and other technical teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy. 
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, models, and design files. 

Required Qualifications & Skills 

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory. 
• Strong working proficiency in SolidWorks is a must. 
• Knowledge of 3D part modelling, assembly modelling, and 2D drawing creation. 
• Basic understanding of mechanical mechanisms, engineering drawing standards, dimensions, and tolerances. 
• Creative thinking and strong problem-solving skills to identify design challenges and develop practical solutions. 
• Willingness to travel to vendor locations for on-site product validation and related technical activities, as required. 
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn and improve technical skills. 

Additional Requirement 

The candidate should be comfortable with occasional travel to vendor sites for product validation, design verification, and coordination, depending on project requirements. 

Experience Criteria 

• Freshers with strong SolidWorks skills are welcome to apply. 
• Candidates with up to 2 years of experience in mechanical design or CAD drafting are preferred. 
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate their SolidWorks proficiency during the interview or a practical design assessment. 

Salary & Benefits 

Salary Range: ₹22,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on skills, practical SolidWorks proficiency, and relevant experience.

The ideal candidate is technically sound, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of creating accurate mechanical designs using SolidWorks. Practical software proficiency is essential, irrespective of prior work experience.
