Role : Sr Recruiting Specialist 

About the role :  

Qualys is looking for a hands-on, high-impact Sr. Recruiting Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team and drive hiring across critical technology functions. 

This role is for a recruiter who can speak the language of technology, build talent pipelines from scratch, influence senior hiring managers, and close highly competitive candidates. You will own complex searches end-to-end and bring strong market intelligence, creative sourcing, and a high bar for talent to every hire. 

 

Responsibilities :  

• Own end-to-end recruiting for complex and business-critical technology roles across Engineering, Cybersecurity, Big Data, Cloud, Product, Business Applications, and Technical Support. 

• Partner with hiring managers to understand the technology, team, and business problem behind each role and build targeted recruiting strategies. 

• Drive hands-on, proactive sourcing through LinkedIn Recruiter, talent mapping, referrals, networking, market research, and competitive intelligence. 

• Build and maintain high-quality talent pipelines for both immediate and future hiring needs. 

• Assess candidates for technical capability, career trajectory, motivation, and overall fit. 

• Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on talent availability, market trends, compensation, competitive landscape, and hiring strategy. 

• Own candidate engagement and offer closure, effectively managing competing offers, counteroffers, compensation expectations, and notice periods. 

• Identify and remove hiring bottlenecks, with strong focus on quality of hire, funnel conversion, time-to-fill, and aging requisitions. 

• Leverage AI and recruiting technology to improve sourcing, talent intelligence, screening, and recruiting productivity. 

• Represent Qualys as an employer brand ambassador and deliver a differentiated candidate experience. 

Required Skills 

• 7+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably within SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, or enterprise technology. 

• Proven track record of independently closing complex, niche, and senior-level technology roles. 

• Strong technical understanding across areas such as Software Engineering, Big Data, AI/ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity, QA, and Product. 

• Exceptional direct sourcing and talent-mapping capability; comfortable building pipelines where talent is scarce. 

• Strong candidate assessment skills with the ability to distinguish true technical depth from keyword-based experience. 

• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior hiring managers and technical leaders. 

• Strong negotiation and candidate-closing skills. 

• Data-driven approach with understanding of recruiting funnel metrics and hiring performance. 

• Highly organized, agile, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a high-growth, high-accountability environment. 

 

  

Preferred Skills 

• Experience hiring for cybersecurity, Big Data, AI/ML, cloud, or other highly specialized technology domains. 

• Experience supporting global hiring across India and the US. 

• Experience using AI-powered recruiting tools and talent intelligence platforms. 

• Strong technology talent network and knowledge of the competitive SaaS talent market. 

• Experience improving recruiting processes, hiring-manager effectiveness, and candidate experience.
