Storage Administrator
Experience in IBM Storage Administration and Virtualization. Hands-on experience with IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC) and IBM Storage Systems (FlashSystem, Storwize, Spectrum Virtualize). Strong knowledge of SAN technologies, Fibre Channel, storage networking, zoning, and multipathing concepts. Experience in storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, cloning, and disaster recovery solutions. Familiarity with Windows, Linux, VMware, and enterprise virtualization environments. Knowledge of storage performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting methodologies. Experience supporting enterprise storage environments with high availability and business continuity requirements. Exposure to storage migration, replication technologies, and disaster recovery testing. Understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Relevant certifications in IBM Storage, SAN, or Virtualization technologies will be an added advantage. Administer, monitor, and support IBM Storage Virtualization and SAN environments, including IBM SVC (SAN Volume Controller). Configure and manage storage provisioning, LUN allocation, zoning, masking, and capacity management activities. Perform storage performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability and reliability. Support storage refresh, migration, firmware upgrades, and disaster recovery initiatives. Work closely with server, database, virtualization, and application teams to address storage-related requirements and incidents.Job role
