Supplier Quality Management

Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers of electrical equipment and components.

Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments.

Develop supplier quality improvement plans and monitor their effectiveness.

Maintain supplier performance metrics and scorecards.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.

Review supplier quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and manufacturing quality plans (MQPs).

Verify compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, UL, and customer-specific requirements.

Inspection & Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

Plan, coordinate, and witness FATs for electrical equipment.

Review FAT procedures, test records, and inspection reports.

Verify completion of routine, type, and special tests as applicable.

Approve material release based on satisfactory inspection and test results.

Vendor Documentation Review

Review and approve:

Technical datasheets

Drawings and schematics

Type test reports

Routine test reports

Calibration certificates

Material test certificates

Quality records and compliance documents

Manufacturing Surveillance

Monitor critical manufacturing and assembly processes.

Ensure traceability of materials and components.

Verify adherence to approved manufacturing and inspection procedures.

Identify and address quality risks during production.

Non-Conformance Management

Investigate supplier-related quality issues and deviations.

Raise and track NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D.

Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Inspection teams.

Interface with customers, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.

Support project execution by ensuring timely quality approvals and material releases.
