Experience with database monitoring tools such as Redgate, SolarWinds DPA, SentryOne, or similar solutions. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation. Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD database deployment practices. ITIL Foundation certification (preferred). Experience 2-4 years of relevant experience in MS SQL Server Database Administration. Experience supporting production database environments with high availability requirements. Educational Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced production support environment. Strong ownership and customer-centric mindset. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations. Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. Monitor database health, performance, and availability and proactively address issues. Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and resource management. Configure and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions such as: Always On Availability Groups Database Mirroring Log Shipping Replication Failover Clustering Manage database security, user access, roles, permissions, and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot database-related incidents and provide L2/L3 support. Support application teams during deployments, releases, and database changes. Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or SQL Agent Jobs. Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
