Engineering Team Lead

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer – R&D, Product Testing & Validation to lead product verification, hardware testing, PCB validation, IoT testing, reliability assessment, and quality assurance activities. The candidate will work closely with R&D, hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure products meet functional, performance, safety, and reliability requirements before deployment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Product Testing & Validation: Plan and execute functional, performance, reliability, and product qualification tests for electronic and electrical products.

2. PCB & Hardware Testing: Validate PCB assemblies, electronic components, modified designs, hardware interfaces, and product specifications.

3. EMI/EMC Testing: Conduct or coordinate electromagnetic interference and compatibility testing and support compliance activities.

4. Environmental Testing: Perform temperature, humidity, thermal chamber, and other applicable environmental tests.

5. IoT & Connectivity Testing: Validate Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), mobile applications, cloud connectivity, device synchronization, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.

6. Test Planning: Develop test plans, test cases, test procedures, test data, and validation protocols.

7. Defect Management: Perform root cause analysis, coordinate corrective actions, track defects, and verify their closure.

8. New Product Development: Participate in design reviews, engineering changes, prototype validation, and product launch activities.

9. Quality & Documentation: Maintain test reports, validation records, nonconformity reports, and product quality documentation.

10.Team & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, external laboratories, component suppliers, and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.

Required Technical Skills :

- PCB and electronic hardware testing

- Product verification and validation

- Functional, integration, regression, and performance testing

- EMI/EMC testing and compliance support

- Environmental and thermal chamber testing

- IoT device testing: Wi-Fi, BLE, mobile applications, cloud connectivity, and OTA

- Reliability testing and failure analysis

- Test case design, execution, and reporting

- Root cause analysis and corrective action

- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC 60068, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 or related standards is desirable
