Job Summary

Join Alight as a Web Technology Associate, where you will play a critical role in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused digital experience across our web platforms. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a quality-assurance mindset, and a desire to continuously improve how web requests are executed.

In addition to handling day-to-day web updates using Alight’s content management system (CMS), you will help identify opportunities to improve content accuracy, consistency, and efficiency within established web processes.  You will also help ensure the quality of web development, so all sites perform and behave as expected.

This role is focused on hands-on web content execution and web development quality assurance and does not include ownership of digital intake, campaign management, or cross-platform operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to common web requests, including:
    • Adding, updating, or removing content using the CMS
    • Investigation and resolution of reported site issues
    • SEO optimizations
    • Regional site translations
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) on web pages to identify and resolve issues such as broken links, formatting errors, broken images, accessibility concerns, and content inconsistencies.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) on web development builds, identifying functionality that is not behaving as expected.
  • Ensure all web content aligns with established brand, accessibility, usability, and governance standards.
  • Validate updates across browsers and devices to ensure a consistent and reliable user experience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver accurate, timely, customer-focused updates.
  • Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies in web requests and QA processes and share observations with the team.
  • Suggest small process improvements, documentation updates, or checklist enhancements to improve quality and turnaround time.
  • Follow defined web operations and QA workflows while maintaining flexibility to support ad hoc requests.
  • Escalate complex or technical issues to appropriate teams and track resolution as needed.
  • Maintain documentation related to web updates, known issues, and standard operating procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail with a QA‑focused mindset.
  • Customer-service-oriented approach with a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS); experience with enterprise CMS tools preferred.
  • Basic understanding of web concepts such as URLs, page structure, links, navigation, and page templates.
  • Ability to recognize patterns, inconsistencies, or repeat issues and communicate improvement ideas clearly.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with comfort working within defined processes.
  • Knowledge of HTML/Javascript and server-side coding is an asset.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in web content management, digital operations, QA, or a related role preferred.
  • Experience supporting internal or external customers in a service-oriented or ticket-based environment is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office environment, computer-based work.
