Field Technical Expert
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
The Field Technical Expert is responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex product or equipment issues, conducting field investigations, and supporting customers and internal teams to ensure optimal product performance and customer satisfaction. The role acts as a bridge between customers, field operations, engineering, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to products, equipment, or systems at customer sites.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide expert-level guidance to service engineers, technicians, and customers.
- Support product performance evaluations and technical problem resolution.
Field Operations
- Visit customer locations to inspect, analyze, and resolve technical concerns.
- Perform technical audits, assessments, and product evaluations.
- Monitor product performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure timely closure of technical complaints and field issues.
Customer Management
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key customers.
- Deliver technical presentations, training programs, and product demonstrations.
- Build strong customer relationships through proactive technical support.
- Support customer acceptance and implementation of technical solutions.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to address recurring issues.
- Analyze field data and prepare technical reports.
- Recommend product design, process, or quality improvements.
- Support warranty analysis and failure investigations.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed service reports, investigation reports, and technical documentation.
- Maintain records of customer visits, technical issues, and corrective actions.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices across teams
