Head - Quality for New Product Development
Position Purpose
The Head – NPD Quality will be responsible for establishing, driving, and institutionalizing a robust Quality Management Framework across the New Product Development lifecycle.
Key Objectives
• Integrate Quality-by-Design (QbD) principles into product development.
• Strengthen Stage-Gate governance and quality gate reviews.
• Drive zero-defect product launches.
• Establish robust validation and reliability engineering practices.

• Design Quality & Reliability Engineering
• Risk Assessment & Quality Planning
• Prototype & Pilot Build Quality
• Supplier Quality & Development
• Manufacturing Readiness & Launch Quality
• Customer Quality & Compliance
• Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Production/Mechatronics)
• Master's Degree preferred
• Six Sigma Black Belt / CQE / CRE preferred
Experience Requirement
• 15–20 years in Quality and Product Development
• Minimum 7 years in NPD Quality leadership role
Technical Competencies
APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, DOE, QFD, FTA, DFSS, GD&T, Reliability Engineering, Product Validation.
Leadership Competencies
Strategic Thinking, Quality Leadership, Stakeholder Management, Customer Orientation, Team Development and Business Acumen.
KPIs
FPY, DPMO, Customer Complaints, Warranty Claims, COPQ, MTBF, Validation Pass Rate.
