Global Digital - M365 & Azure Platform Engineer - Consultant - PN 1527

Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled M365 / SharePoint Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale collaboration solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role focuses on SharePoint Online engineering, governance, automation, and integration with the broader M365 platform including Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Entra ID, and Microsoft Graph.

You will be responsible for engineering modern digital workplace solutions, improving information architecture, driving automation, governing content lifecycle, and ensuring platform reliability and security.

The ideal candidate brings both deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities. You will work closely with the development lead, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

ØCustom Solution Deployments
ØDeploy custom solutions to Dev, QA and prod environments
oManage SharePoint Search schema, content types, site designs, and managed metadata
oImplement AI-driven features using Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, and orchestration frameworks for Copilot experiences.
ØOperations, Support & Performance
ØMonitor M365 service health, telemetry, and usage analytics
ØTroubleshoot platform issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures.
ØEnsure adherence to compliance, retention, and data governance policies
ØCross-Functional Collaboration
oWork with solution architects to ensure technical designs align with enterprise architecture standards.
oCollaborate with information security teams to meet compliance and data protection requirements.
oParticipate in technical discussions and provide input on design and implementation strategies.
ØMaintain and Support Environments
oSupport existing Enterprise Search applications, including enhancements, bug fixes, troubleshooting, and backend upgrades.
oDocumentation and Training
oPrepare technical documentation and assist internal teams with technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualification

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

 

Experience:

o6+ years of work experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 engineering.
oDeep expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, site provisioning, permissions & governance
oHands-on experience with Azure AD / Entra ID administration, Azure resources management

Technical Skills

oProficiency in Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerShell, PnP PowerShell
oContent types, site templates, hub sites, metadata and taxonomy
oAzure AD / Entra ID administration
oExperience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Graph API.
oAzure Fonctions, Logic Apps, DevOps CI/CD pipelines
oModern authentication methods including OAuth 2.0 and app registrations
oUnderstanding of SharePoint security, permissions, and governance models.
