We are currently seeking a Industry Consulting Associate Consultant to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Job Title: Business Consultant – FIX Protocol & Trading Systems
Role Summary

We are seeking a Business Consultant – FIX Protocol & Trading Systems supporting electronic trading and execution platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise with the FIX Protocol, FIX sessions, connectivity, and trade execution systems, along with strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities.

The role will involve working closely with trading, application support, development, infrastructure, and external counterparties to ensure reliable connectivity and smooth execution of electronic trades.

Day to Day Job Duties

• Configure, monitor, and support FIX sessions and electronic trading connectivity.
• Troubleshoot FIX connectivity, session, order, and execution-related issues.
• Analyze FIX messages and logs to identify and resolve trading and connectivity problems.
• Support order routing and trade execution systems across production and non-production environments.
• Coordinate onboarding and connectivity testing with brokers, exchanges, clients, and other counterparties.
• Perform FIX certification, connectivity testing, and regression testing.
• Monitor FIX session status, message flows, order acknowledgments, executions, rejects, and cancellations.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot application and network-related issues.
• Support production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Document FIX configurations, connectivity details, issues, and operational procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with FIX Protocol, FIX messaging, and FIX session management.
• 3+ years of experience supporting electronic trading, order management, or execution management systems.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting FIX connectivity, order flows, execution messages, and production issues.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux/Unix, SQL, and application/log analysis in trading environments.

Nice to Have

• Strong understanding of the FIX message lifecycle, including New Order, Execution Report, Cancel/Replace, Reject, and session-level messages.
• Experience with OMS/EMS and electronic trading platforms.
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, or other capital markets products.
• Experience onboarding brokers, exchanges, or counterparties to FIX connectivity.
• Familiarity with FIX engines and FIX certification processes.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, network connectivity, firewalls, and related troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or similar platforms.
• Basic scripting knowledge using Shell or Python.
• Experience working in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Financial Services environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
