Job Description

Senior Research Executive

Job Description

Job Description:

About the Role

As a Senior Research Analyst in NIQ’s Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) Customer Success team, you will manage research and analytics engagements end to end—from understanding the client brief and shaping the study approach to coordinating execution, analysing results, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations. You will combine strong project management, analytical thinking, and client consulting skills to connect consumer, market, and business context. You will also support junior analysts and collaborate across SA&I practice areas, Operations, commercial teams, and subject-matter experts to deliver high-quality work efficiently.

What You’ll Do

End-to-End Project Delivery

  • Manage assigned research and analytics projects from client brief and commissioning through final delivery and presentation.
  • Translate business questions into clear research objectives, study designs, questionnaires, sample specifications, timelines, and analytical plans.
  • Coordinate with Operations, fieldwork, data processing, modelling, and other specialist teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, budgets, and quality; communicate issues early and drive timely resolution.
  • Conduct detailed data quality checks, analyse findings, and integrate relevant consumer, market, or retail context.
  • Develop client-ready reports and presentations with clear implications, recommendations, and next steps.

Client Consulting & Communication

  • Manage day-to-day client communication for assigned engagements, ensuring expectations, scope, and timelines remain aligned.
  • Participate in client briefings, status discussions, and presentations; respond confidently to questions on approach and findings.
  • Translate complex analysis into concise, commercially relevant stories tailored to the client’s business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to add value, strengthen client satisfaction, and support repeat or adjacent SA&I engagements.

Collaboration, Quality & Capability Building

  • Work across SA&I practice areas—including Consumer Behavior & Insights, Innovation, Brand & Media, and Analytics & Activation—as required by the engagement.
  • Support junior analysts with study setup, data checks, analysis, reporting, and storytelling guidance.
  • Apply approved templates, methodologies, data-security requirements, and quality standards to all deliverables.
  • Share tools, templates, and process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and team capability.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, customer experience, analytics, consulting, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, questionnaire design, sampling, data quality, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail and the ability to connect findings to business implications.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence in building and presenting compelling, data-led stories.
  • Proven project management skills, including prioritisation, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and delivery against deadlines.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and client-focused working style, with the ability to operate effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with analytical, visualisation, survey, or AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, statistics, social sciences, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience in consumer, retail, technology, telecommunications, or other client-focused sectors is preferred.
