General Summary

 

CommScope is seeking a Senior Application Developer to lead the design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise web applications across internal and customer-facing platforms.

This role is responsible for architecting and developing scalable cloud-enabled solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies, modern UI frameworks, APIs, Azure services, and enterprise integrations. The Senior Application Developer acts as a technical leader, driving application architecture, promoting development best practices, mentoring team members, and collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, DevOps, and security teams to deliver secure, high-quality enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate combines strong full stack development expertise with solution architecture skills, and strong front-end development capabilities for building modern enterprise web applications.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

Application Architecture & Solution Design

• Lead technical design and architecture of enterprise web applications and digital solutions.
• Define scalable application architectures aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Participate in application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Evaluate technology options and provide recommendations for future-state architectures.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation and architecture diagrams.

Full Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, and modern UI technologies.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Blazor, React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Develop REST APIs, microservices, and reusable application components.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and performance optimized.
• Develop reusable UI components and application patterns to improve maintainability and consistency.
• Optimize application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to application architecture decisions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate development, testing, documentation, modernization, and code quality while following enterprise security and development standards.

Database & Integration Development

• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and queries.
• Integrate enterprise applications with SAP, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and other business systems.
• Develop and support integration services using Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and custom APIs.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across integrated systems.

Cloud & DevOps Enablement

• Design and implement cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Utilize Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
• Monitor production applications and improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in security reviews and governance processes.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and infrastructure teams.
• Drive technical standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support critical production incidents and root cause analysis.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

Must have,

Technical

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development.
• Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core, C#, .NET Framework, and .NET 8+.
• Strong experience developing web applications using Blazor or other modern UI frameworks.
• Strong experience with React and/or Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Node.js, and npm.
• Experience with REST APIs, Web APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Strong SQL Server development skills including query optimization, stored procedures, and database design.
• Experience with Entity Framework.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure including:

  • Key Vault
  • Application Insights
  • Logic Apps
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD B2C, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and role-based access control.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  Leadership/Architecture

• Experience defining application architecture and technical solutions.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating workloads to cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

 

Nice to have,

• Experience with SharePoint Online development and integration.
• Experience integrating web applications with SAP or other enterprise platforms using REST/OData APIs and Azure API Management.
• Experience with front-end build and packaging tools such as Webpack, Gulp, Babel, Sass, or equivalent modern build frameworks.
• Experience with Coveo Search integrations.
• Experience with Optimizely CMS or digital experience platforms.
• Experience with application framework upgrades and modernization initiatives.
• Experience working within global enterprise environments.
• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Solution Architecture experience or certifications.
