Dy. Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infra for Paint Shop (Civil)
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Purpose of the role:
To support planning, execution, commissioning and maintenance of civil infrastructure, buildings and utility-related structures for Paint Shop during Greenfield project implementation and plant operations.
Roles and responsibilities:
Greenfield Project Phase
- Execute and monitor civil construction activities for Paint Shop, including industrial buildings, structural works, roads, drainage systems, underground utility networks and associated infrastructure as per project schedules, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Supervise construction of paint shop buildings, chemical storage areas, ETP/STP interface structures, utility trenches, ventilation support structures and corrosion-resistant civil works to ensure infrastructure readiness for equipment installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering and contractor teams for timely execution, progress monitoring and closure of project activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, construction quality standards, statutory regulations, environmental requirements and safety norms during project execution.
Operations & Facility Management Phase
- Support upkeep and maintenance of Paint Shop buildings, utility trenches, drainage systems, chemical handling infrastructure and other civil assets to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
- Execute preventive maintenance, civil repair works, waterproofing, floor rehabilitation, facility modifications and infrastructure improvement activities to support production requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, verify work completion and ensure adherence to safety, quality, environmental and delivery requirements for maintenance and project activities.
- Maintain infrastructure records, prepare maintenance and project MIS, support budget control activities and assist in future capacity expansion, regulatory compliance and facility enhancement projects.
Experience
5+ years in Civil Engineering, industrial building projects, infrastructure development with exposure to Greenfield automotive manufacturing projects. Experience in Paint Shop facilities preferred.
