As a Software Engineering Manager in Azure Core, you will lead a highly skilled, collaborative, and fast-moving team that thrives on solving complex problems, iterating quickly, and delivering meaningful business value. You will work with modern Azure services and data technologies to build scalable, innovative, and impactful solutions that sit at the core of Microsoft’s cloud. We are looking for an action-oriented, technically skilled and talented candidate that can drive high quality engineering, deal with ambiguity and help design innovative solutions. This role will enable you to grow technically building a mission critical product, work with massive data and cutting-edge AI technologies, and collaborate with engineering teams across the company.

• Guides partnership with appropriate stakeholders (product manager, primary developer, co-developing engineering teams) to determine user requirements within and across teams.
• Guides teams and leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
• Optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
• Guides team to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers).
• Guides team for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and monitors other engineers across product lines, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
• Leads product development and scaling to customer requirements and applies best practices for meeting scaling needs and performance expectations and holds accountability for products that do not meet expectations.
