Job title: Group Leader

Job function and sub function: Production – Group Leader

Position summary:

• Responsible for Production in CV line
• Handling entire shift with Zero Accident and Production output as per target

 

Reports to (role): Mr. Shankar (Production Manager)

Team size (Direct and total): Team Size: 2 & Total: 100

Works closely with: Mr. T.S. Ravaisankar (Plant Manager) & Production Managers & Maintenance Team

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

• Should have work experience in Automotive industry (preferably welding industry).
• Should have worked in Production function
• Should possess good knowledge in Production planning and Execution
• Conversant in Lean manufacturing and People management.
• Conversant in 4M and Inventory Management.
• Conversant in cycle time study, line balancing and Process Improvements.
• Robot, MIG & TIG welding knowledge is essential.
• Identification and implementation of productivity improvements.
• Application of problem-solving tools like 7QC tools, QC story, 8D approach, etc.
• Exposure in SAP PP module, IATF16949, TPM & Should possess good communication skills
• Achieve Production Targets as per plan
• Ensure Safety and Quality requirements

 

Ideal candidate experience:

DME with 10 years’ Experience or B.E / B.Tech  with 8 Years’ Experience  in background of Mechanical / Automobile Engineering / Production Engineering

 

 

 

 

 

Skills and capabilities (leadership and/or functional):

Major Deliverables and Responsibilities includes,

1.         Achieve Production Targets as per plan

2.         Ensure Safety and Quality requirements.

3.         MIS production report and gap analysis - shift wise

4.         PIP action register

 

Specialized Skills/Knowledge required,

 

1. Good Exposure in Welding process
2. Knowledge in Robot programing
3. Good Communication Skill
4. Good Interpersonal Skill

Qualifications/ certifications:

•  DME with 10 years’ Experience or B.E / B.Tech  with 8 Years’ Experience  in background of Mechanical / Automobile Engineering / Production Engineering
