We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP system administration, installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in managing SAP landscapes across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, Solution Manager, and SAP HANA environments. Experience with cloud platforms and SAP Basis support in complex enterprise environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP landscapes.
  • Perform SAP system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, and patch management activities.
  • Manage SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and SAP HANA databases.
  • Monitor system health, performance, job scheduling, and system availability.
  • Perform system performance analysis and tuning to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage SAP transports and change management activities across environments.
  • Execute SAP upgrades, migrations, and enhancement package implementations.
  • Administer SAP HANA databases including backup, recovery, and monitoring.
  • Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager and system monitoring tools.
  • Work on high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Troubleshoot SAP Basis, database, and operating system-related issues.
  • Support SAP Security teams in user administration, system security, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, database, network, and application teams for project delivery.
  • Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in implementation, rollout, migration, and AMS support projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • SAP ECC
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • SAP BW/BW4HANA
    • SAP Solution Manager
    • SAP NetWeaver
  • Experience with SAP HANA Database Administration.
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • SAP Installation & Configuration
    • System Copies
    • Kernel Upgrades
    • Support Package Implementation
    • Performance Tuning
    • Transport Management
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Landscape Management and System Monitoring.
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
  • Understanding of operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
  • Knowledge of database administration concepts (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2).
  • Experience in SAP upgrade and migration projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA Conversion or Greenfield Implementation projects.
  • SAP Basis or SAP HANA Administration Certification.
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager 7.2.
  • Exposure to SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Knowledge of SAP Focused Run and automation tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP-hosted SAP systems.
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures.
  • Exposure to SAP Fiori Administration and SAP Gateway.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with SAP Landscape Management (LaMa).

Qualifications

Minimum Graduation required (B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc / BCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field).
