Role Purpose 

Create, analyze and closely monitor the watchlist, suspicious transaction trends, processes, customer behavior patterns, platform gaps and ensure required process improvements are implemented to minimize instances of money laundering.

Role Accountability 

1. Conduct Money Laundering Risk Assessment (MLRA) for the business
2. Develop & enhance transaction monitoring & watchlist screening processes & capabilities
3. Monitor industry regulatory activities and other trends (external and internal) through appropriate early warning systems in order to take pre-emptive actions
4. Conduct half yearly risk profiling for Retail and Corporate Card customers and roll out of memo along with Credit & Risk team
5. Participate in yearly Validation and Optimization exercise for AML tool
6. Prepare and disseminate AML dashboards/reports to the Senior management
7. Monitor implementation of AML related audit recommendations by internal/external auditors & regulators and ensure its timely and effective closure
8. Monitor timely submissions of various reports/returns/responses to RBI/FIU and other key stakeholders
9. Drive implementation of any ad-hoc projects with regards to FATF/FIU recommendations

1. No significant regulator penalties/fines
2. Timely closure of Validation & Optimization Activity 
3. Timely closure of MLRA
4. Accuracy in customer risk profiling
5. Timely & accurate submission of AML dashboards/reports
6. Process adherence as per MOU

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications

1. Ability to detect emerging compliance and industry trends and develop appropriate responses 
2. Ability to operate with due discretion, confidentiality, objectivity and independence
3. ACAMS certification
