Career Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and result-oriented Junior Career Counsellor to guide students and parents in choosing the right career and course in the fields of Animation, VFX, Gaming, Graphic Design, Multimedia, UI/UX, AR/VR and related creative technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for counselling prospective students, understanding their career goals, explaining suitable courses, handling enquiries and supporting the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and parents regarding career opportunities in the AVGC and Media & Entertainment industry.
• Understand students' interests, educational background, career goals and recommend suitable courses.
• Explain course structure, duration, fees, scholarships, career opportunities and placement assistance.
• Handle enquiries received through calls, WhatsApp, social media, walk-ins and digital leads.
• Follow up regularly with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
• Maintain proper records of leads, counselling sessions, follow-ups and admissions.
• Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions and career guidance meetings.
• Coordinate with the academic and management teams regarding student admissions.
• Organize and participate in seminars, career guidance sessions, workshops and student awareness programs.
• Build a positive relationship with students, parents and prospects.
• Achieve monthly counselling and admission targets.
• Provide regular reports regarding leads, follow-ups and admission status.
• Stay updated with current career opportunities, industry trends and emerging technologies in Animation, VFX, Gaming and AI.

• Knowledge or interest in Animation, VFX, Gaming, Graphic Design, Multimedia or related creative fields will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience :

• Graduate in any discipline; candidates with qualifications in Management, Psychology, Education, Marketing or related fields will be preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in career counselling, education counselling, sales or student admissions preferred.
• Freshers with excellent communication and convincing skills may also be considered.

• Generate and manage counselling opportunities from various sources.
• Maintain high-quality follow-up with every prospective student.
• Meet monthly admission and conversion targets.
• Maintain accurate daily counselling and follow-up reports.
• Ensure a professional and student-friendly counselling experience.

Preferred Candidate: Profile The ideal candidate should be confident, energetic, target-oriented, empathetic and passionate about helping students build successful careers. The person should be comfortable communicating with students and parents and capable of explaining career opportunities in a simple and convincing manner.
