Job Description
Department : Human Resources & Administration
Reporting To Director / Plant Head
Location : Ambala (05 Kms from Baldev Nagar, Ambala City).
Purpose of the PositionTo lead and manage all Human Resource and Administrative functions of the foundry and CNC machine shop by ensuring effective manpower planning, recruitment, statutory compliance, employee engagement, performance management, industrial relations, training, and implementation of HR policies that support organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Manpower PlanningPlan manpower requirements in coordination with department heads.
- Recruit skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled manpower for Foundry, CNC Machine Shop, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Administration.
- Conduct interviews and coordinate employee selection.
- Manage onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Maintain an updated manpower budget.
2. Attendance & Payroll CoordinationMonitor daily attendance and shift rosters.
- Coordinate payroll processing with Accounts.
- Verify overtime, leave and attendance records.
- Ensure timely salary processing.
- Maintain employee records and personal files.
3. Statutory ComplianceEnsure compliance with applicable labour laws, including:
- Factories Act
- Industrial Relations Code
- Employees' Provident Fund (EPF)
- Employees' State Insurance (ESI)
- Payment of Wages Act
- Payment of Bonus Act
- Payment of Gratuity Act
- Minimum Wages
- Contract Labour regulations (where applicable)
- Shops & Establishments requirements (where applicable)
Coordinate statutory inspections and maintain all required registers and records.
- 4. Employee RelationsMaintain healthy employer-employee relations.
- Address employee grievances promptly.
- Conduct counselling where required.
- Promote discipline and adherence to company rules.
- Handle disciplinary actions as per company policy.
5. Performance ManagementImplement performance appraisal systems.
- Coordinate probation confirmations.
- Monitor employee performance reviews.
- Recommend promotions, transfers and corrective actions.
- Assist department heads in setting performance objectives.
6. Training & DevelopmentIdentify training needs across departments.
- Organize technical, behavioural and safety training.
- Conduct induction programmes for new employees.
- Maintain employee training records.
- Evaluate training effectiveness.
7. HR Policies & DocumentationDevelop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee handbook and HR manual.
- Prepare appointment letters, confirmation letters, transfer letters, warning letters, promotion letters and separation documents.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee records.
8. Industrial RelationsMaintain harmonious relations with employees and contract labour.
- Resolve shop-floor issues promptly.
- Coordinate with labour authorities when required.
- Support management during negotiations and dispute resolution.
9. Employee WelfareManage employee welfare initiatives.
- Coordinate canteen, transport, uniforms and PPE distribution.
- Organize health check-ups and welfare programmes.
- Celebrate employee recognition and engagement activities.
10. Health, Safety & ComplianceCoordinate with the Safety Officer to ensure statutory compliance.
- Promote safety awareness.
- Organize safety training.
- Participate in accident investigations and corrective actions.
11. AdministrationSupervise housekeeping and security services.
- Monitor office administration.
- Manage visitor records and gate control procedures.
- Coordinate facility management and vendor services.
12. Exit ManagementConduct exit interviews.
- Process resignations and full & final settlements.
- Maintain employee separation records.
- Analyse attrition trends and recommend improvements.

- QualificationsMBA / PGDM in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management or Labour Welfare.
- Master's degree in Human Resources or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience 02 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Foundry, CNC Machine Shop, Engineering or Automobile industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, factory operations and industrial relations.
