Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesAssist technicians, fitters, welders, electricians and engineers in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment and utilities.
  • Assist in dismantling, shifting, installation and assembly of engineering equipment.
  • Provide support during maintenance of:
  • Reactors
  • Centrifuges
  • Filter dryers
  • Pumps
  • Motors
  • Gearboxes
  • Agitators
  • Heat exchangers
  • Scrubbers
  • Utility equipment
  • Assist in piping, fitting, fabrication and welding activities under the supervision of skilled technicians.
  • Assist in handling and shifting of equipment, tools and maintenance materials.
  • Support rigging and lifting activities as instructed by authorized personnel.
  • Assist during plant shutdown and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Maintain engineering tools and equipment in clean and usable condition.
  • Collect and arrange tools, spares, consumables and maintenance materials.
  • Assist in opening, cleaning and reassembly of equipment as per approved procedures.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of engineering work areas.
  • Dispose of waste/scrap as per plant procedures.
  • Follow instructions from Engineering Supervisor/Technician and complete assigned work safely.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment abnormalities or incidents to the supervisor.
  • Follow all applicable GMP, EHS and safety procedures.
