Job Description
Is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring day-to-day construction activities at the project site. The supervisor acts as a link between the Project Manager, Site Engineer, contractors, subcontractors, workers, and other site personnel, ensuring that construction work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and the project schedule.
A competent Civil Site Supervisor should possess:
- Good knowledge of civil construction practices.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Knowledge of basic surveying, levels, measurements, and quantities.
- Understanding of RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, road, and drainage works.
- Labour and subcontractor management skills.
- Basic knowledge of construction quality control.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify site problems and escalate them appropriately.
- Good awareness of construction safety requirements.
- Ability to maintain daily site records and reports.
- Strong observation and supervision skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
