We are looking for a highly experienced, technically competent, and execution-oriented Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Construction Manager who can independently supervise, inspect, monitor, and control all civil construction activities at our industrial project sites.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil works executed by contractors are strictly in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

■ KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. PEB BUILDING FOUNDATION WORK

• Supervise and inspect complete foundation work for Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings.
• Ensure proper execution of excavation, PCC, RCC footings, pedestals, plinth beams, and grade beams.
• Verify foundation dimensions, reinforcement details, shuttering, and concrete grades as per approved structural drawings.
• Check anchor bolt positioning, alignment, projection, levels, and centre-to-centre distances.
• Ensure proper coordination between civil contractors and PEB structural erection teams.
• Verify column grid dimensions, diagonal measurements, and foundation levels.
• Ensure proper concrete pouring, vibration, curing, and quality control.
• Identify and rectify construction deviations before PEB erection begins.

2. BOUNDARY WALL & COMPOUND WALL CONSTRUCTION

• Supervise complete boundary wall construction activities.
• Inspect excavation, RCC foundations, columns, plinth beams, brickwork, and plastering.
• Verify reinforcement, concrete quality, masonry alignment, and structural stability.
• Ensure boundary wall construction follows approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor workmanship, material consumption, and construction progress.

3. INDUSTRIAL FLOORING & RCC/PCC WORK

• Supervise industrial flooring, warehouse flooring, factory flooring, and heavy-duty concrete flooring.
• Inspect subgrade preparation, soil compaction, GSB/WMM layers, and base preparation.
• Verify reinforcement, concrete thickness, grade, and finishing requirements.
• Check floor levels, slopes, joints, and surface finishing.
• Monitor concrete pouring, vibration, finishing, and curing.
• Ensure flooring work meets the required quality and load-bearing specifications.

4. INTERNAL ROADS, DRIVEWAYS & SITE DEVELOPMENT

• Supervise construction of internal roads, RCC driveways, and industrial access roads.
• Verify excavation, earth filling, compaction, GSB/WMM, and concrete pavement work.
• Ensure proper road thickness, levels, slopes, and drainage arrangements.
• Inspect material quality and execution methodology.
• Supervise stormwater drainage, trenches, and other site development activities.
• Ensure all work is executed as per approved drawings and technical requirements.

5. CONTRACTOR SUPERVISION & WORK QUALITY CONTROL

The selected candidate must be capable of independently supervising civil contractors and ensuring complete compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor contractors' daily site activities and workmanship.
• Verify that contractors are executing work strictly as per approved drawings.
• Inspect construction materials being used at site.
• Ensure correct grades and specifications of cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Verify reinforcement diameter, spacing, lap lengths, development lengths, and cover requirements.
• Inspect shuttering quality, dimensions, alignment, and levels.
• Ensure contractors are not compromising material quality or construction specifications.
• Identify defective workmanship, material substitutions, and unauthorized deviations.
• Immediately report non-compliance and ensure corrective action before further execution.
• Monitor contractor manpower, machinery, productivity, and daily progress.
• Ensure proper coordination between multiple contractors and agencies working at the same site.

6. MATERIAL INSPECTION & QUALITY ASSURANCE

• Verify incoming construction materials against approved specifications.
• Inspect cement, reinforcement steel, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and other civil materials.
• Check material test certificates and quality documentation.
• Witness concrete slump tests, cube casting, and compressive strength testing.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and utilization of construction materials.
• Monitor material consumption and prevent unnecessary wastage.
• Ensure that only approved materials are used for construction.

7. DRAWING VERIFICATION & TECHNICAL INSPECTION

• Read, understand, and interpret architectural, structural, and civil construction drawings.
• Cross-check actual site execution against approved drawings.
• Verify dimensions, levels, reinforcement details, and construction specifications.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
• Coordinate with structural consultants, architects, and project management teams.
• Ensure no unauthorized modifications are carried out by contractors.
• Maintain proper records of inspections and drawing revisions.

8. QUANTITY SURVEYING, MEASUREMENT & CONTRACTOR BILLING

• Verify actual work quantities executed by civil contractors.
• Cross-check contractor measurements against approved drawings and site execution.
• Verify RCC, PCC, reinforcement, shuttering, brickwork, plastering, flooring, and earthwork quantities.
• Review contractor RA bills and final bills.
• Identify excess billing, incorrect measurements, and unauthorized work quantities.
• Monitor material consumption against BOQ quantities.
• Maintain measurement records and supporting documentation.

9. PROJECT PLANNING & EXECUTION MONITORING

• Prepare and monitor daily and weekly civil construction schedules.
• Track contractor progress against committed timelines.
• Identify execution delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate civil work activities with PEB erection schedules.
• Ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, manpower, and machinery.
• Submit daily progress reports with site photographs.
• Report quality concerns, execution delays, and contractor-related issues to management.

10. SITE SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

• Ensure safe construction practices at project sites.
• Monitor excavation safety, scaffolding, shuttering, and concreting activities.
• Ensure contractors follow applicable site safety procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe material storage.
• Report unsafe activities and ensure immediate corrective action.

■ REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Mandatory Requirements:

✓ Minimum 10 years of practical experience in civil construction and site execution.

✓ Strong experience in industrial buildings, factories, warehouses, and PEB-related civil construction.

✓ Hands-on experience in RCC foundations, PEB anchor bolt foundations, and structural civil works.

✓ Experience in boundary wall construction, industrial flooring, internal roads, and driveways.

✓ Strong understanding of civil and structural drawings.

✓ Ability to independently inspect and verify contractor workmanship.

✓ Knowledge of reinforcement detailing, concrete technology, and construction quality standards.

✓ Experience in material inspection, quantity verification, and contractor billing.

✓ Ability to handle multiple contractors and construction agencies simultaneously.

✓ Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, BOQ, and site measurement procedures.

✓ Good communication, reporting, and contractor coordination skills.

■ PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILEWe are specifically looking for a senior, experienced, and technically strong Civil Engineer who has independently handled industrial civil construction projects.

The ideal candidate should be capable of:

• Independently managing civil construction activities without continuous supervision.
• Identifying technical mistakes and poor workmanship at site.
• Ensuring contractors use the correct materials and follow approved drawings.
• Controlling construction quality, quantities, and execution timelines.
• Coordinating with structural consultants and PEB erection teams.
• Protecting the company's interests by preventing defective work, material wastage, and incorrect contractor billing.

Candidates with experience in industrial sheds, PEB factories, warehouses, manufacturing plants, and industrial infrastructure projects will be given preference.

■ IMPORTANT NOTE

This position is strictly for experienced Civil Construction Professionals.

Candidates having only residential building experience, fresher-level site supervision experience, or purely office-based design experience without practical site execution exposure may not be suitable for this role.

We require a technically sound professional with extensive hands-on industrial construction experience.
