SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. is expanding its manufacturing operations and is looking for a highly experienced, technically sound and result-oriented Senior Quality Manager– PEB Fabrication to strengthen our Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) department.

📍 Job Location: Rohad Industrial Area, Bahadurgarh, Haryana

📌 Position: Senior Quality Engineer – Fabrication

🎓 Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

⏳ Experience: Minimum 5–12 Years in PEB / Structural Steel Fabrication

🔍 KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Raw Material Inspection & Traceability

• Inspect incoming HR plates, structural steel sections and other fabrication materials.
• Verify Material Test Certificates (MTC), material grades, thickness and specifications.
• Ensure proper identification, traceability and compliance with approved standards.

2. In-Process Fabrication Quality Control

• Conduct stage-wise inspections of CNC cutting, fit-up, assembly, welding and finishing.
• Verify fabrication dimensions, diagonals, squareness, camber, straightness and tolerances.
• Inspect built-up I-sections, columns, rafters, crane girders, beams and other structural components.
• Ensure fabrication strictly follows approved shop drawings and technical specifications.

3. Welding Quality Inspection

• Inspect welding quality, weld size, penetration, continuity and visual defects.
• Ensure compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Coordinate NDT inspections such as UT, DPT and MPI wherever required.
• Identify welding defects and ensure timely corrective action.

4. Surface Preparation & Painting Quality

• Inspect shot blasting / surface preparation standards.
• Monitor primer and paint application, DFT measurements and coating quality.
• Ensure proper surface finishing before final dispatch.

5. Quality Documentation & Client Inspections

• Prepare and maintain Inspection Test Plans (ITP), inspection reports, NCRs and quality records.
• Coordinate third-party and client inspections.
• Ensure proper documentation and inspection clearance before dispatch.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce rejection and rework.

6. Quality Team Supervision & Process Improvement

• Lead and guide shop-floor QC inspectors.
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, Design and Dispatch departments.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
• Drive continuous improvement in fabrication quality and operational efficiency.

🎯 REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

✅ Strong understanding of PEB fabrication processes and structural steel manufacturing.

✅ Excellent knowledge of fabrication/shop drawings and welding symbols.

✅ Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection instruments.

✅ Knowledge of IS, AWS and applicable fabrication standards.

✅ Experience in welding inspection, NDT coordination and painting inspection.

✅ Ability to independently handle client and third-party inspections.

✅ Strong leadership, reporting and problem-solving skills.

Candidates with direct experience in PEB manufacturing plants will be given preference.
