JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTANT (HOSPITAL)

Job Title: Accountant

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Maintain daily hospital accounts and financial records.

Handle cash receipts, payments, and daily cash collection reports.

Verify patient billing, discounts, refunds, and payment records.

Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, receipts, and expense records.

Monitor hospital income and expenses and maintain proper documentation.

Reconcile daily cash, bank transactions, and billing collections.

Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

Assist in payroll, PF, ESI, TDS, GST, and other statutory requirements.

Coordinate with billing, insurance, HR, purchase, and administration departments.

Prepare daily, monthly, and annual financial reports.

Maintain proper records for internal and statutory audits.

Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of accounting activities.

Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime and MS Excel

Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, PF and ESI

Good accounting and reconciliation skills

Good communication and documentation skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Hospital accounting/billing experience is preferred.
