Job Description
- We are looking for a skilled and responsible Machine Operator to operate and monitor production machinery, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to required quality standards.
- Operate machines and equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Set up machines and adjust operating parameters as required.
- Load raw materials and unload finished components safely.
- Monitor machine operation and ensure smooth production.
- Inspect products during production to ensure required dimensions and quality standards are met.
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Identify machine problems, abnormal sounds, defects, or production issues and report them to the supervisor.
- Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
- Maintain production records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workplace.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Minimize material wastage, machine downtime, and rejection rates.
- Coordinate with the Quality and Maintenance teams whenever required.
- Follow 5S and other workplace improvement practices.
- Required Skills & QualificationsITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related technical qualification preferred.
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of machine operation, basic production processes, and quality inspection.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings is an advantage.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
