Established with a vision to become a disruptive leader in advanced aviation composite manufacturing, the company delivers end to end engineering—covering idea incubation, research, concept design, manufacturing & testing.Operating under AS9100 D certified Quality Management Systems, Absolute Composites specializes in UAV flight vehicle design, composite airframe structural optimization, tool design, composite airframe manufacturing, integration, and test flying, supported by modern facilities and a dynamic engineering team.📍 Location: Aerospace Park, Bangalore💼 Experience: 3–6 Years🎓 Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related discipline(CNC / CAD‑CAM / Manufacturing certifications are an added advantage)🌐 Role OverviewAs a VMC Operator & Programmer at Absolute Composites, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to manufacture high‑precision aerospace tools, metallic components, and composite tooling parts.This role demands strong technical machining skills, hands‑on programming expertise, quality awareness, and adherence to aerospace manufacturing standards, ensuring components are produced to exact specifications with high repeatability and reliability.You will work closely with design, manufacturing engineering, quality, and inspection teams to support critical UAV and aerospace composite programs.🔹 Key ResponsibilitiesVMC Programming & Machining• Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam / NX / Fusion 360 or equivalent)• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot VMC machines for milling of aluminum, steel, and aerospace‑grade alloys• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and process sheets accurately• Optimize machining parameters for cycle time, surface finish, and tool lifeTooling & Process Execution• Manufacture composite tools, molds, fixtures, metallic parts, and precision aerospace components• Select cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding methods appropriate for aerospace requirements• Perform machine setup, alignment, and datum setting to ensure dimensional accuracy• Support first‑article manufacturing and prototype developmentQuality & Compliance• Ensure components meet AS9100, customer, and internal quality standards• Conduct in‑process inspections using precision measuring instruments• Support First Article Inspection (FAI), NCR closure, and corrective actions• Maintain proper documentation, job cards, and machining recordsMachine Maintenance & Safety• Perform routine machine checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting• Ensure safe operation of machines and adherence to shop floor safety practices• Identify tooling or machine issues and coordinate with maintenance teams proactivelyCross Functional Collaboration• Work closely with design, manufacturing engineering, quality, and planning teams• Provide machining feasibility inputs during design and process planning stages• Support urgent program requirements and schedule recovery actions when required🔧 Preferred Skills• Strong hands‑on experience with VMC operation and CNC programming• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC controllers (Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain preferred)• Experience machining aerospace‑grade materials and tooling components• Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and precision measurement• Knowledge of aerospace quality systems (AS9100) is a strong advantage• Attention to detail, ownership mindset, and commitment to quality• Ability to work in a fast‑paced aerospace manufacturing environment🎯 Why This Role Is Exciting• Work on cutting‑edge aerospace & UAV programs• Manufacture critical flight and tooling components for next‑generation aircraft• Exposure to advanced composite tooling and aerospace manufacturing practices• Opportunity to grow with a rapidly scaling aerospace company• Be part of a passionate, technically strong engineering and manufacturing team📨 How to ApplyExperienced CNC / VMC professionals passionate about aerospace manufacturing are encouraged to apply.📧 Send your resume to: hr@absolutecomposites.com
