Job Description
CNC PUNCHING PROGRAMMERWe are looking for an experienced CNC Punching Programmer for our sheet metal fabrication and furniture manufacturing unit.
The candidate should have good knowledge of CNC Turret Punching Machines, sheet metal programming, nesting and production optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare CNC punching programs as per production drawings.
- Create and optimize sheet nesting to minimize material wastage.
- Read and understand AutoCAD / fabrication drawings.
- Select suitable punches, dies and tooling for each component.
- Program punching, notching, slotting, perforation and forming operations.
- Set punching sequence to improve productivity and avoid sheet deformation.
- Prepare programs for MS, CRCA, GI and SS sheets.
- Coordinate with CNC punching machine operators for job setting and production.
- Check component dimensions and punching accuracy.
- Modify programs whenever required based on production feedback.
- Maintain proper program files and revision records.
- Monitor sheet utilization and improve nesting efficiency.
- Support troubleshooting of programming and tooling-related issues.
- Coordinate with bending, laser cutting and fabrication departments.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CNC Turret Punch programming.
- Experience with nesting and sheet metal CAD/CAM software.
- Good understanding of sheet metal development and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of punches, dies, tooling clearance and machine limitations.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be preferred.
- Ability to independently prepare production-ready programs.
Experience: 5+ Years Preferred
Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Tool & Die, CNC or related technical field
Industry: Sheet Metal Fabrication / Furniture Manufacturing
Job Type: Full-Time
Candidates with experience in sheet metal furniture, cabinets, lockers, storage units and precision fabricated components will be preferred.
