HR & Talent Acquisition Executive — Alt India

Location: Koramangala, Bangalore (Work From Office)

Working days: 6 days/week — [Sundays off] | [shift timing 10 AM – 7 PM]

Compensation: ₹4.2–5 LPA fixed + performance incentives up to ₹1.5 LPA

About the role

Alt India is scaling fast — from 10 counselors to a team of 77+ across six university partnerships in the next few months. We're looking for someone to own and run our entire hiring engine, not just fill open seats. If you like building systems, working directly with a founder, and seeing the direct impact of your work every single week, this is a genuinely rare opportunity to shape how a growing company hires.

What you'll do

Talent Acquisition (~80% of the role)

• Own the full hiring funnel end to end — from lead generation (LinkedIn, Meta, WorkIndia, Apna, Fresherworld) through qualification, our course-based screening process, assessment coordination, and final offer.
• Coordinate and track candidates through our pre-hire course and assessment process (LMS platform, scenario-based assessments, recorded mock calls).
• Schedule and support the founder's final interview rounds.
• Manage offer rollout, document collection, and the offer-to-joining process — including proactively following up with candidates who go quiet, and tracking why.
• Build and maintain hiring funnel dashboards — leads, conversions, drop-off points, cost per hire.
• Coordinate with job portals and our WhatsApp automation tools (AiSensy/WATI) to keep the candidate experience fast and responsive.

HR Admin & Documentation

• Offer letters, appointment letters, and onboarding paperwork.
• Attendance and leave records.
• Basic statutory compliance (PF/ESI, Shops & Establishments Act) — working alongside our CA/consultant where needed.
• Exit formalities and documentation.

Employee Engagement

• Track attrition by tenure and flag patterns early.
• Coordinate onboarding logistics (Day 1–90) alongside our buddy program.
• Organize team culture activities and support a genuinely positive, high-energy office environment.

What we're looking for

• 2–4 years of hands-on bulk/volume hiring experience — specifically BPO, retail, telecalling, or similar high-volume entry-level hiring. General corporate recruiting experience alone isn't the right fit here; we need someone who's personally sourced and closed high numbers before, not just managed a process.
• Genuinely comfortable operating with minimal oversight — this role is being built to run independently, with real ownership from week one, not close supervision.
• Track record you can speak to with actual numbers — how many hires, in what timeframe, through what channels.
• Strong with Google Sheets/Excel — you'll be building and reading funnel data regularly.
• Kannada fluency preferred, given Bangalore-based hiring; additional regional languages (Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Hindi) are a genuine plus given our multi-language hiring lines.
• Once ramped, you'll have the mandate to hire your own recruiter/support under you as volume grows.
