Zonal Head

GK Vale is a well-known Indian photography & videography company (founded in Bangalore in 1910, historically called "Madras Photo Stores"), with studios/franchises across India. Position: Zonal Head – Photography & Videography Reports to: CEO / Director Job Summary Responsible for overseeing all studios/branches and photography-videography operations within an assigned zone (a state or cluster of cities), driving revenue growth, service quality, and team performance across the zone's outlets. Key Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day operations of all studios/branches (own + franchise) within the zone • Drive sales targets — portrait sessions, wedding/event shoots, passport photos, corporate/school photography contracts • Ensure consistent quality standards in photography, videography, editing, and album/print delivery across all outlets • Recruit, train, and manage zonal teams — photographers, videographers, editors, studio managers, and front-office staff • Plan and execute new studio/franchise openings within the zone • Manage vendor relationships (equipment, printing labs, props, editing software) • Handle P&L responsibility for the zone — budgeting, cost control, and profitability • Monitor customer satisfaction, resolve escalations, and maintain brand reputation • Coordinate with marketing for local promotions, tie-ups (wedding planners, event companies, corporates, schools) • Report zonal performance (revenue, bookings, staff productivity) to senior management Requirements • Graduate/MBA preferred; background in photography/media is a plus but not mandatory for the managerial track • 8–12+ years of experience, ideally in photography studios, event management, retail chains, or service-based multi-outlet businesses • Strong people-management and multi-location operations experience.Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone
