About Sando Club & the Role
Sando Club is a gourmet sandwich restaurant built as a premium QSR. We sweat every detail - from the food on the plate to the music in the room. Now we need someone who brings that same obsession to the numbers.
This is a dual role: you're our finance brain and our procurement muscle. You'll own the full money picture - from daily sales reconciliation to vendor credit cycles to spotting where we're bleeding cash we shouldn't be. You'll report directly to the founder and have the ear of the team when things don't add up.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Reconciliation
- Daily sales reconciliation across all payment modes (cash, UPI, Swiggy, Zomato, POS)
- Track, verify, and flag discrepancies between system reports and actual collections
- Maintain accurate books day-to-day — no backlogs, no guesswork
- Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and ensure full statutory compliance
- Month-end P&L closing with clean, digestible reporting for the founder.
Vendor & Purchase Management
- Tally and verify every incoming vendor bill against purchase orders and delivery receipts
- Manage payments strictly as per agreed credit cycles — no late fees, no missed discounts
- Build and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate better terms as volumes grow
- Track purchase orders, stock receipts, and ensure nothing gets paid twice
- Identify consolidation opportunities across vendors to reduce costs
Spend Analysis & Savings
- Analyse spends by category every month — food cost, packaging, labour, utilities
- Flag cost overruns proactively, before they hit the P&L hard
- Benchmark our cost per cover and identify where the margin is leaking
- Run variance analysis between budgeted vs. actual spends
- Bring savings ideas to the table — not just report the problem, own the fix.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (CA Inter/ICWA preferred but not mandatory).
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting/finance operations, mandatory experience in F&B.
- Accounting software: Tally ERP / Zoho Books / QuickBooks (any one, fluently)
- Excel & Google Sheets - pivot tables, VLOOKUP, expense trackers without hand-holding
- POS reconciliation - matching POS data with bank settlements
- GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance for a small business
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Bonus: if you're capable of using AI to build tools to help with the work.
