Associate Investigator – Mobile Applications Monitoring

We are seeking intelligent graduates with a strong technical background in network penetration to contribute to our mobile application monitoring process. The role will involve conducting extensive searches on mobile platforms to detect instances of audio-video infringement and intellectual property violations and implementing measures to address and remove such content.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Conducting thorough searches across Google Play (Android), App Store (iOS), and third-party marketplaces (standalone applications) to identify mobile applications involved in the illegal streaming of sports events.
• Performing penetration tests on unauthorized mobile applications in compliance with security policies and ethical practices.
• Analyzing packets and monitoring internet/network traffic using Burp Suite, Charles Proxy, etc. to extract illegal live streams, VOD content, ad publishers and associated details, and other service providers supporting applications involved in piracy.
• Developing scripts to continuously monitor repeat offending applications and retrieve URLs of live source feeds.
• Prepare developer profiles and forensic reports on applications for law enforcement purposes.
• Issuing notices to search engines, platforms/marketplaces, service providers, and individuals/developers operating applications engaged in piracy, ensuring compliance as per copyright laws.
• Extracting information from WHOIS records to identify ownership, registrant email IDs, domain registrars, IP addresses, and hosting providers.
• Staying updated on piracy trends and technological advancements affecting online copyrighted content piracy mitigation strategies.
• Should be aware of ethical hacking best practices. Certifications are a plus.
• Should know packet sniffing, bypass SSL pinning, TLS, ethical hacking, and web crawling techniques.
• Having prior experience in penetration testing of Android applications is a bonus.

Candidates must be

• Willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
• Willing to work on weekends with flexible weekly offs.
• Flexible and open to changing priorities, as well as handling multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes.

Experience: Entry-level, Intermediate-level

• This position will be based in Ramamurthynagar, Bangalore. Candidates currently residing in Bangalore are preferred.
