About the Role

We are looking for a Car Inspector who will travel across Bangalore assigned regions to inspect used cars at seller locations. You will be responsible for conducting a thorough, systematic inspection of each vehicle, identifying issues that may not be obvious to a buyer, taking detailed photographs/videos, and generating a clear inspection report for the customer.

This is a hands-on field role for someone who knows cars, pays attention to detail and can objectively assess the condition of a used vehicle.

• What You Will DoTravel to different seller locations across Bangalore for vehicle inspections
• Conduct comprehensive used-car inspections covering:
• Exterior & body condition
• Paint quality and accident/repair signs
• Tyres, wheels and suspension
• Engine bay and mechanical components
• Engine, transmission and clutch
• Brakes and steering
• AC, electricals and electronics
• Interior condition
• Odometer and service history
• Warning lights and dashboard indicators
• Signs of flooding, rust or major accident damage
• Conduct test drives where required
• Identify and document existing defects and potential future issues
• Take clear photographs and videos of the car and important inspection points
• Use diagnostic tools/OBD scanners where required
• Verify vehicle documents and match basic vehicle details with the car
• Rate the overall condition of the vehicle based on Truwo's inspection framework
• Generate a detailed digital inspection report after every inspection
• Clearly communicate major findings to the Truwo team
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, honesty and objectivity

What We Are Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience in car inspection, automotive service, workshop, dealership, used-car sales, or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of cars — engines, transmissions, variants, common problems, etc.
• Good understanding of used-car inspection and identifying accident/repair history
• Ability to identify mechanical, electrical and cosmetic issues
• Comfortable conducting test drives and evaluating vehicle behaviour
• Familiarity with OBD/diagnostic scanners is a plus
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Comfortable travelling extensively across Bangalore
• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred
• Automotive certification / ITI / diploma in automobile engineering is a plus
• Candidates who are passionate about cars and have strong practical knowledge are encouraged to apply
