Job SummaryWe are looking for an honest, detail-oriented, and customer-friendly Cashier to manage billing, payment processing, cash handling, and daily transaction records at our retail outlet. The candidate will ensure accurate billing, secure financial transactions, and a smooth checkout experience while maintaining the brand’s service standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate accurate bills and invoices using the store’s POS (Point of Sale) or billing software.
• Process payments through cash, debit/credit cards, UPI, and other approved payment methods.
• Handle cash responsibly and maintain accuracy in all financial transactions.
• Verify billing details, discounts, promotions, taxes, and applicable offers before completing transactions.
• Ensure proper recording of sales, payments, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations as per company policy.
• Issue receipts and explain payment details to customers when required.
• Reconcile cash, card, UPI, and other payment collections with POS reports at the end of each shift.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and report any cash shortages, excess amounts, or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
• Coordinate with sales associates for smooth billing, product returns, exchanges, and customer checkout.
• Follow company procedures for approvals, discounts, refunds, and void transactions.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of customer and financial information.
• Keep the billing counter clean, organized, and professionally maintained.
• Support stock tagging, invoice verification, and basic administrative tasks when required.
• Additional Responsibilities for Jewellery RetailVerify product details, SKU codes, weight, purity, making charges, stones, and applicable taxes against approved billing information.
• Ensure invoices accurately reflect jewellery product specifications and applicable charges.
• Follow strict procedures for high-value transactions, cash limits, customer identification, and documentation as per company policy and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with the sales and inventory teams to resolve product or invoice discrepancies before billing.
• Desired Skills and QualificationsGraduate or 12th pass; commerce background preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail billing, cashiering, or POS operations preferred.
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge and experience with POS or billing software.
• Familiarity with cash handling, digital payments, and daily cash reconciliation.
• Honest, trustworthy, responsible, and organized.
• Good communication skills and a polite customer-service approach.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak store hours.
• Willingness to work retail shifts, weekends, and holidays as per store requirements.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Billing accuracy and minimal transaction errors.
• Accuracy of daily cash and payment reconciliation.
• Compliance with billing, refund, and discount approval procedures.
• Timely processing of customer transactions.
