Job summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Supply Executive to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory of medical consumables and non-medical supplies for our clinics. The role will focus on cost optimization, vendor management, inventory control, and ensuring the uninterrupted availability of essential supplies for smooth clinic operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Procurement & sourcing

• Procure medical consumables such as gloves, syringes, test kits, and other clinical supplies.
• Source non-medical supplies, including stationery, housekeeping materials, and general clinic requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

2. Inventory & stock management

• Maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stock-outs or excess stock.
• Monitor consumption patterns and manage reorder levels and cycles.
• Track expiry dates of medical consumables and other expiry-sensitive products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, stock reports, and procurement documentation.

3. Vendor management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate with the accounts team for vendor invoices and payment processing.
• Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, pricing, and service quality.

4. Operational coordination

• Coordinate with nurses, lab staff, pharmacists, and centre managers to understand supply requirements.
• Ensure the availability of critical medical and operational supplies at all times.
• Support clinic operations by resolving procurement and supply-related issues.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Required skills & qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in supply chain management, procurement, or operations is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
• Good understanding of inventory control, stock planning, and cost management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and inventory or procurement management systems.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders and manage priorities.

Preferred experience

Experience in healthcare, hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres, or pharmaceutical procurement will be an added advantage.
