Product Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mechanical product designs, components, assemblies, and related documentation.
• Prepare and maintain 2D drawings, 3D models, specifications, and BOMs.
• Work with the global engineering teams to localize products and components for India manufacturing.
• Review customer requirements, product specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) from prototype through production.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, assembly procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support engineering changes, including ECR/ECN implementation and BOM revisions.
• Work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve design, assembly, dimensional, and manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers for component development, tooling, samples, and technical specifications.
• Evaluate alternate/local suppliers and components while ensuring that the required specifications are maintained.
• Assist with prototype development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for product and manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions.
• Support DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) improvements to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
• Maintain engineering records and ensure drawings and specifications are properly controlled.
• Provide technical support during production ramp-up and capacity expansion.
• Coordinate with Quality on inspection requirements, critical dimensions, tolerances, and control plans.

• 1–3 years of experience in product engineering, mechanical design, manufacturing, or industrial products.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with BOMs, engineering changes, and product documentation.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional and international engineering teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
