Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Construction to independently manage quantity surveying, estimation, billing, cost control, and commercial activities for our large-scale residential project in Whitefield.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in residential/commercial construction, preferably with exposure to G+9 and above structures, and should be comfortable working regularly from the project site.

• Key ResponsibilitiesTake, verify, and maintain measurements for civil, structural, finishing, MEP, and other executed works.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity estimates, rate analysis, cost estimates, and cost comparisons.
• Prepare and verify contractor/subcontractor/vendor bills based on actual site measurements and approved BOQs.
• Check RA bills for quantities, rates, deductions, supporting documents, and approvals.
• Prepare material and quantity reconciliation statements.
• Monitor actual quantities against BOQ and identify variations or deviations.
• Prepare and evaluate variation statements, extra-item claims, and deviation statements.
• Review contractor quotations, compare rates.
• Maintain records of measurements, work orders, purchase orders, bills, BOQs, and quantity statements.
• Coordinate with site engineers to verify actual work executed at site.
• Prepare and monitor project cost estimates and construction budgets.
• Track project costs, commitments, and variations and highlight cost overruns to management.
• Verify subcontractor measurements and ensure billing is as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify quantity requirements and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with architects, structural/MEP consultants, contractors, site engineers, PMC, and management.
• Maintain accurate QS documentation and commercial records.
• Prepare regular MIS reports covering quantities, billing, costs, variations, and commitments.
• Handle final measurements, final bills, reconciliation, and contractor account closure.
• Ensure timely and accurate QS reporting to project management.
• Candidate ProfileDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in residential/commercial construction.
• Experience in G+9 and above residential structures will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction measurement, estimation, costing, BOQ, billing, rate analysis, and reconciliation.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and execution methods.
• Strong knowledge of construction rates and market pricing.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to independently manage QS activities for a large-scale project.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Candidates residing in or around Whitefield, Bengaluru will be preferred.
• Should be willing to work full-time from the project site.
• Software SkillsAutoCAD – working knowledge.
