Job Title: Service Head

Company: Konwert India Motors Pvt Ltd

Reports to: General Manager / Director

Job Summary

The Service Head will be responsible for leading and managing the service operations for Konwert’s EV retrofit solutions, ensuring high standards in vehicle installation, quality control, after-sales service, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership to build and manage the service team while maintaining operational efficiency and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service Operations Management

Oversee the installation and retrofit operations of EV kits for auto-rickshaws.

Ensure timely vehicle delivery and service turnaround time.

Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service operations.

2. Technical & Quality Control

Monitor quality of installation and retrofit work.

Ensure all vehicles pass testing and quality checks before delivery.

Coordinate with engineering and production teams for technical issues.

3. Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and manage service engineers and technicians.

Build a strong technical service team to support operations.

Conduct regular training programs for technicians.

4. Customer Support & After-Sales

Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective service support.

Handle service escalations and technical complaints.

Monitor vehicle performance and warranty claims.

5. Process & Compliance

Ensure compliance with automotive service standards and safety regulations.

Coordinate with RTO, retrofit certification, and regulatory requirements where applicable.

6. Inventory & Spare Parts Management

Manage inventory of spare parts, kits, and service tools.

Ensure proper stock control and availability of service components.

7. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Track service KPIs, turnaround time, installation volume, and service quality metrics.

Provide regular service performance reports to management.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of automotive service operations

Experience in EV / automotive retrofit / workshop operations

Leadership and team management skills

Problem-solving and technical troubleshooting

Strong process orientation and quality control mindset

Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical Engineering

Experience

6–10 years experience in automotive service operations

Experience in EV, automotive workshops, or dealership service operations preferred.
