Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (AI-Native)

Job Duties

Landmark, a Halliburton company, builds the software and data platforms that help the global energy industry make better decisions. Our products span subsurface interpretation, well construction planning, reservoir simulation, and digital operations — tools used daily by engineers and scientists at the world’s largest energy companies. We are investing significantly in our engineering capability in Oslo, and these roles are part of building a permanent, locally-owned engineering organization to take long-term ownership of the platform. 

Role Overview 

Design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native SaaS applications using Angular, Node.js and/or Python, deployed on Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate embraces AI-assisted development to improve productivity, quality, testing, and delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain full stack applications using Angular, Node.js, and/or Python. 
• Build responsive web applications, REST APIs, and microservices. 
• Design, deploy, and support cloud-native solutions on Azure and AWS. 
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, and Jenkins. 
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions. 
• Use AI-powered development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers. 

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience. 
• 3+ years with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SASS. 
• Strong experience with Node.js and/or Python. 
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. 
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Azure and/or AWS. 
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar databases. 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience using GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI tools. 
• Experience validating AI-generated code for security, performance, and maintainability. 
• Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, RAG, Semantic Kernel, or LLM APIs. 
• Experience with vector databases and AI-enabled applications. 

Technical Skills 

• Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS 
• Backend: Node.js, Python, Express, FastAPI, REST APIs, Microservices 
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD 
• Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis 
• Testing: TDD, Unit, Integration and API Testing, Jest, Cypress, Playwright 

Nice to Have 

• Oil & Gas industry experience. 
• Experience building AI-powered applications, agents, RAG solutions, or MCP integrations.
