Role Description The Team Lead RCU (Risk Control Unit) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role oversees a team responsible for fraud detection, credit risk verification, and adherence to internal risk and compliance processes across the lending lifecycle. Day-to-day activities include supervising case reviews, validating customer information, monitoring high-risk transactions, and ensuring timely escalation and resolution of suspicious or non-compliant activities. The Team Lead RCU coordinates with operations, credit, collections, and technology teams to refine risk controls, improve policies, and implement process improvements. This position also involves setting performance metrics for the RCU team, training team members on risk procedures, preparing regular reports and dashboards, and supporting audits and regulatory requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in risk management, fraud control, or credit underwriting, preferably within NBFCs, fintech, or embedded finance environments.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to interpret transaction patterns, identify anomalies, and prepare risk dashboards and MIS.
• Hands-on skills in process management, quality control, and workflow optimization to enhance RCU efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and manage team members, including performance tracking, coaching, and capacity planning.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support internal and external audits.
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines, KYC norms, and compliance standards relevant to lending and MSME finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in risk or compliance is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role within risk, RCU, or fraud investigation, with familiarity in working with technology-driven lending platforms.
