Barista

A Barista prepares and serves coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages while delivering great customer service and keeping the workspace clean

• Beverage Preparation: Craft espresso drinks, drip coffee, teas, and specialty beverages to standard recipes and quality levels.
• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take orders, answer menu questions, and offer recommendations.
• Cash Handling: Process payments accurately using the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Cleanliness & Maintenance: Operate, clean, and sanitize espresso machines, grinders, counters, and seating areas.
• Restocking: Monitor inventory, restock display cases and supplies, and handle basic food prep like pastries or sandwiches.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Coffee Knowledge: Familiarity with brewing methods, coffee origins, and milk steaming or latte art.
• Communication: Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
• Multitasking: Ability to work quickly and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment during peak hours.
• Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long periods and lift items up to 30 pounds.
• Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; prior hospitality or customer service experience is a plus
