Educational Counsellor

Job Summary

BBT – Blueball Technologies is looking for a motivated and career-focused Student Counsellor / Admission Counsellor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students and working professionals, understanding their career goals, recommending suitable IT training programs, handling leads, conducting follow-ups, and supporting the admission process.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, confidence in handling students and parents, a positive attitude, and a strong interest in education and career counselling.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCounsel students and working professionals regarding suitable IT courses and career pathways.
• Understand students' educational background, career interests, skills, goals, and expectations.
• Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions and explain suitable BBT programs.
• Explain course curriculum, duration, eligibility, training methodology, career opportunities, fees, and admission procedures.
• Handle enquiries from students and parents through phone calls, WhatsApp, and direct counselling.
• Make outbound calls to assigned leads and generate counselling appointments.
• Follow up regularly with prospective students and parents.
• Schedule counselling sessions and centre visits.
• Handle student queries and objections professionally.
• Maintain strong relationships with prospective students throughout the admission journey.
• Convert qualified leads into admissions through effective counselling and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate lead information, remarks, follow-up dates, and conversion status in the CRM.
• Coordinate with the Training, Sales, and Placement teams when required.
• Achieve assigned daily/weekly/monthly counselling and admission targets.
• Prepare and submit regular activity and conversion reports to the reporting manager.
• RequirementsAny UG / PG degree.
• Freshers and candidates with 0–3 years of experience can apply.
• Excellent Tamil and English communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and convincing skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and handling prospective students.
• Ability to understand student requirements and recommend appropriate courses.
• Positive attitude, confidence, patience, and willingness to learn.
• Prior experience in education counselling, inside sales, telecalling, admissions, or training institutes will be an advantage.
