Job Description

Quality Engineer – Sheet Metal Industry

Experience: 5–10 Years

Qualification:

Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming, in-process and final inspection.
  • Ensure quality of sheet metal components as per drawings and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues through root-cause analysis.
  • Handle NCR, rejection, rework and customer complaints.
  • Prepare inspection reports and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams for quality improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Sheet metal fabrication
  • CNC Laser Cutting
  • CNC Punching
  • CNC Press Brake / Bending
  • Stamping & Welding
  • Engineering Drawing & GD&T
  • Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
  • 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA & 8D
  • PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC & MSA
  • AutoCAD / SolidWorks knowledge
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
