Support Specialist, Chennai

Embrace the role of a Support Specialist on our team, where you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise software solutions. Your duties encompass monitoring applications, active triaging, collaborating with developers, and conducting thorough troubleshooting to identify and resolve application issues. Actively contributing to testing and quality assurance, you'll build a comprehensive Knowledge Base. As a proficient communicator, you'll lead the coordination of issue resolutions, actively engage in release calls, and contribute to Root Cause Analysis investigations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience working in Global Command Center and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.  
  • Provide L1/L2/L3 application support for mission-critical business applications.  
  • Monitor application health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.  
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs.  
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.  
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and cloud teams to resolve complex technical issues.  
  • Support application deployments, configuration changes, and release activities.  
  • Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and support runbooks.  
  • Participate in on-call support and major incident management processes.  
  • Monitor logs and identify trends to proactively address potential issues.  
  • Manage service requests, incidents, and problem tickets using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.  
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies, and change management processes.  
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance support efficiency.  

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.  
  • 5+ years of experience in Application Production Support or Application Operations. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • DevOps/CI-CD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) API Troubleshooting (REST, SOAP)  
  • Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.  
  • Experience supporting web-based, distributed, and enterprise applications.  
  • Experience monitoring application availability, infrastructure health, and network performance across multi-cloud environments using tools such as Coralogix, Datadog, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Google Cloud Monitoring.  
  • Experience supporting containerized applications running on Kubernetes platforms such as GKE and/or AKS.  
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.  
  • Strong understanding of application logs, debugging, and performance analysis.  
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.  
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell Script, or Python.  
  • Experience performing pre-post migration health checks, connectivity testing to ensure operational stability.  
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting connectivity between multi cloud environments, including VPC/ VNet peering, routing, firewall configurations, and hybrid cloud integrations.
