Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup: Load raw materials, secure workpieces with clamps and fixtures, and install cutting tools.
  • Operation & Monitoring: Run VMC Operators programs, adjust feed and speed rates, and watch the machine to prevent errors.
  • Offsets & Codes: Set tool and work offsets, and edit basic G-code or M-code parameters as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished items with tools like micrometers and calipers to match blue print rules.
  • Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, check coolant levels, and report machine faults.


Skills and Qualifications


  • Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, or Machinist fields.
  • Experience: 3+ years working in a manufacturing or machine shop setting.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of engineering drawings, metal properties, and basic programming.
  • Safety: Ability to wear protective gear and follow strict floor safety rules.
