Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager – Operations to manage and coordinate operations across Electrical Safety Audits, Energy Audits, and Solar projects. The role will be responsible for project planning, field team management, technical coordination, client handling, quality control, report review, and timely execution of projects.
The candidate should have strong technical and operational knowledge, good leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and field teams across different locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Safety & Energy Audit Operations
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor Electrical Safety and Energy Audit projects.
- Allocate audit assignments to engineers and field teams.
- Coordinate with clients for site visits, schedules, documentation, and project requirements.
- Ensure audits are conducted as per company SOPs, checklists, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
- Review electrical safety observations, measurements, findings, and recommendations.
- Identify electrical hazards, safety risks, energy-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Review and approve audit reports before submission to clients.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of audit reports.
- Monitor pending observations, corrective actions, and client requirements.
2. Solar Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations related to Solar Installation, Inspection, Audit, and Service projects.
- Plan and coordinate solar site visits, installation audits, inspections, commissioning, and service activities.
- Coordinate with Solar Engineers, technicians, vendors, contractors, and clients.
- Monitor project execution as per approved scope, specifications, quality requirements, and timelines.
- Review site inspection reports and identify technical or quality issues.
- Monitor solar system performance and coordinate troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation of installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and service activities.
- Handle project-level escalations and ensure timely resolution.
- Support planning and execution of solar service and maintenance activities.
3. Team Management
- Lead and supervise Electrical Safety, Energy Audit, and Solar field teams.
- Allocate manpower according to project requirements and timelines.
- Monitor team productivity, field attendance, performance, and work quality.
- Conduct regular team reviews and provide technical and operational guidance.
- Identify training requirements and support skill development of team members.
- Ensure field teams follow safety procedures and company policies.
4. Project & Client Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate with clients from project initiation through completion.
- Understand project scope, deliverables, timelines, and client expectations.
- Attend client meetings and site visits whenever required.
- Handle client complaints, escalations, and operational issues.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
- Coordinate with Business Development, Accounts, HR, and other internal teams for smooth project execution.
5. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure quality standards are maintained across all audit and solar projects.
- Review technical reports, inspection findings, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety, energy audit, and solar standards.
- Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct periodic quality checks and field reviews.
- Ensure proper maintenance of project records and documentation.
6. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly operational MIS.
- Track project status, site visits, pending reports, manpower deployment, and project closures.
- Monitor project timelines and identify delays or operational bottlenecks.
- Submit regular performance reports to senior management.
- Maintain records of project progress, client feedback, and team performance.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Safety Audit and Energy Audit processes.
- Good understanding of Solar PV systems, installation, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Strong project planning and execution skills.
- Good team leadership and manpower management abilities.
- Strong client handling and communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and locations.
- Strong report preparation and review skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MIS reporting.
