Software Tester Cum Product Trainer

Software Testing Responsibilities

* Review requirements, business workflows, and acceptance criteria before testing.

* Prepare test plans, test cases, test data, and release checklists.

* Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, usability, and cross-browser testing.

* Test web and mobile applications, APIs, reports, calculations, notifications, and third-party integrations.

* Validate sales, finance, inventory, HR, ticketing, fleet management, and approval workflows.

* Verify role-based permissions, company-wise data access, and tenant isolation.

* Check database accuracy and consistency using SQL queries.

* Report defects with reproduction steps, severity, screenshots, and supporting evidence.

* Coordinate with developers, retest fixes, and maintain regression coverage.

* Support user acceptance testing and report release readiness, outstanding defects, and known limitations.

* Develop automated tests for critical workflows where appropriate.

Product Training & Customer Onboarding Responsibilities

* Develop a thorough understanding of each product’s features, business use cases, and limitations.

* Conduct online and on-site training for customers, administrators, end users, and internal teams.

* Prepare role-specific training plans for operational, sales, finance, management, and technical users.

* Deliver product demonstrations and explain workflows using practical business scenarios.

* Create and update user manuals, quick-reference guides, presentations, FAQs, and training videos.

* Prepare demonstration environments and realistic sample data without exposing confidential information.

* Guide users through onboarding, initial configuration, and routine product operations.

* Conduct hands-on exercises and assess whether users can complete essential tasks independently.

* Maintain training attendance, assessment results, feedback, and follow-up action records.

* Provide refresher training and explain new features after product releases.

* Identify whether reported problems arise from software defects, configuration, or training needs, and coordinate resolution.

* Collect user feedback and share actionable improvement requests with the development team.

* Support sales teams with product demonstrations and technical clarification using verified product capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

* Experience testing web-based business applications.

* Experience delivering software training, customer onboarding, or product demonstrations.

* Understanding of software testing methods and defect management.

* Working knowledge of Postman or equivalent API tools, SQL, and browser developer tools.

* Ability to convert business requirements into test cases and user-friendly training materials.

* Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to nontechnical users.

* Patience, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.

* Willingness to travel for customer training when required.

Preferred Skills

* Experience with Laravel/PHP applications and ERP/CRM or SaaS products.

* Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation tools.

* Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent issue-tracking tools.

* Knowledge of finance, inventory, HR, ticketing, or fleet management workflows.

* Experience creating screen recordings, video tutorials, and knowledge-base articles.

* Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, performance testing, and basic security testing.

* ISTQB or relevant training certification is an advantage.
